VI Peel in Portland, Oregon

Do you notice your skin aging? Does your skin have blemishes and uneven tone? Our practice offers the VI Peel, a special chemical peel that diminishes visible signs of aging and sun damage. You can expect long-lasting results with this peel.

What Is VI Peel?

The VI Peel is a gentle but powerful medical-grade chemical peel that treats the following: wrinkles, lines, blemishes, scars, sun damage, pigmentation spots, uneven skin tone, melasma, rosacea, large pores, and other skin imperfections. This peel is safe and effective for all skin types and colors. Customers use it on the face, neck chest, arms, back, and legs. It’s also safe for the under-eye area. The treatment is painless and requires very minimum down time.

What’s the secret? The formula itself. It is a blend (Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA), Tretinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C, and other minerals) that safely works to remove the damaged layers of the skin and promotes the renewal of cells. It makes the skin surface smother, clearer, and firmer, and it gives people a more youthful and radiant appearance. The VI Peel stimulates the production of collagen, and it can be used in combination with other treatments.

Am I A Good Candidate For A VI Peel?

Anyone who is looking to improve mild to moderate skin damage (reduce blemishes, remove scars, freckles, spots and sun damage, acne) and reverse the signs of aging may be a great candidate for the procedure (especially customers of fair to medium skin color). Our practitioners will help determine if you are a good candidate.

Originally, the Peel was created as treatment for acne patients (who may be as young as 12 years old). Anyone who enjoys good health and will follow post-treatment instructions will appreciate the procedure. If you are pregnant, take medication, or recently received another treatment, consult with our specialists regarding the timing for the procedure.

What Is The VI Peel Treatment Like?

VI Peel is relatively painless; some sensitive types may experience some burning or tingling sensation that is typically tolerable without any pain medication. A cooling device may be recommended. During the peel, we cleanse the skin and then apply the solution with a special applicator.

The solution dries quickly and customers can resume activities immediately. The solution may not be washed off for another five hours. The whole procedures typically does not take longer than 20 minutes.

What Is VI Peel Recovery Like?

There is no down time after the procedure. Peeling effect lasts about two-three days and may be easily managed with the post-peel recovery kit that VIP MediSpa will provide you with. For the next one-two weeks, you should avoid any skin exfoliation, avoid sun exposure, and touching or pulling of your skin as it heals.

The peel works the best if you let it peel naturally. Once the skin has finished peeling and is fully recovered, patients see visible improvements in their complexion. The skin appearance will continue to improve during the next four-six weeks. It will become firmer, clearer, smoother, and younger-looking.
